  1. nice set up there. i'm in east texas myself- outside of gilmer.
  2. 2 turtles mug a snail- rough him up pretty bad. the cops come by to get a statement. "sorry this happened to you. hope you're ok. did you get a look at the perps? do you think you could identify them?" the snail thinks for a second and responds "i don't think so. it all happened so fast." 2 guys walk into a bar. and you'd sure think the second guy would've ducked.
  3. it is a MK II. it replaced a Carver PM-175- which was a pretty decent amp itself.
  4. yep, I've got quite a few Dylan cd's yes sir a pair of MMG Maggies with custom oak stands I built myself. it's a Cimmaron Colt Lightening in .38spl with custom grips. thanks. I've got a set of blue bulbs as well but I like the greens myself. I love my set up. looks good and sounds even better. the recent addition of the M500T really rounded out the system.
  5. my complete system with photos of my "re-bulbed" M500T and my recently restored Thorens TD-165 Turntable with custom plinth and upgraded TP16 MK I tonearm
  6. Drummer I just acquired the M500T just a few weeks ago. previously I had a Carver PM-175 and before that a Proton AA-1050. Dennis I just bought the 500 just a few weeks ago. I will definitely be looking into the possible upgrades. thanks for all the nice greetings. i'll be posting some photos shortly.
  7. certainly Loner. I'm running a M500T power amp in conjunction with an Amber 2 preamp with Magnepan MMG's, and a Klipsch 12" subwoofer. I have a fine old Nikko NT-790 tuner, a Yamaha CDX-450 CD player, and a Thorens TD-165 turntable with an ADC XMS-102 Omni Pivot cartridge.
  8. hello to all. hope to gain useful knowledge concerning great Carver components. long time hi-fi enthusiast from the 1960's on.
