  1. I am the original owner of two Carver M-2120 car amps which I ran in my 1991 two door Ford Explorer.

I took advantage of the built in crossover via the following set up:

Amp one was used with four JBL Grand Touring 5203 speakers (mid range and tweaters).

Amp two was used with a MTX 10" subwoofer box which sat in the cargo area of the vehicle.

I loved the amps enough that I removed them when I sold the vehicle in 2001 and still have them sitting in my house...wondering what to do with them since I am not aware of anyone who restores car amps?

The amps have plenty of power and sounded nice, although, maybe a little loud in the background noise department...maybe that could be resolved with some upgraded electronic components?

  2. Here is a link to a very thorough presentation by Mike Williams which goes over whether The Beatles wrote their own music.

  3. "My guess is that they didn't work like they did in this movie prior to Yoko coming on the scene.

They were really under the gun to come up with stuff with all the cameras on them, just taking basic ideas and writing it on the fly."

Steve, the task was virtually impossible based on the timeline and this was not the only time the Beatles had virtually no time to write and learn to play  an album full of hit music which would last for generations.

If anyone has the time and for you conspiracy buffs out there (like me), there is a 600 + page long, great book with tons of details about the Beatles, their songs and much more titled,  The Memoirs of Billy Shears.

It is approached like an autobiography but written by Thomas E. Uharriet.

And think about this before you poo poo the book - how could any book get written which includes Beatles lyrics and stories without copy right violations or lawsuits preventing it from being published?

  4. I watched the first episode and I am a big Beatles fan but I am not sure how interesting this would be to the casual fan since it was more about the creation of the songs rather than hearing the polished\finished versions.  Enjoyable for me none the less.

  5. Butcher, If you take a deep look into the music business, it seldom holds up to what we have been lead to believe as true, especially in the rhelm of song writing and music playing.

Even my beloved Beatles don't hold up.

Check out. " The Wrecking Crew" on Youtube for some interesting stories.

  6. I just watched Mile 22 on Netflix last night and enjoyed it... check it out.

The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Iko Uwais, John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan (she's really easy on the eyes) and Ronda Rousey.
