  1. This is my rotation of Carver equipment. Scattered about my home.
  2. Hook ,line and sinker. The old, snow to an Eskimo, thing.
  3. Thanks. Excited to be here. And yes... I'm keeping them both. You don't have to twist my arm...😄 I'll upload some pics soon.
  4. There are many similarities, but looking on the inside, 2 totally different transformers. The AVR has about 8 lbs on the MXR. A giant transformer. I understand that the MXR, with the magnetic field amp, has Bob's technology that allows a smaller transformer. However, the AVR is also a MFA. All of the circuit boards look similar, but the AVR has an extra amp mounted in the rear for the surround speakers.
  5. I'm kind of interested in exploring this Sonic Holography thing. However, the MXR-150 is a straight forward powerhouse. You know what? Maybe you're right. I'll consider hanging on to both for now.
  6. So here's my dilemma. I am the proud owner of both, an MXR-150 and an AVR-100. I'm keeping one of them, and leaning towards the AVR. They are both in excellent condition and function flawlessly. I'd appreciate some input. Thanks.
