Thanks for the references. I also found those. The $80 choice is way too much and even $35 seems too much. I’m wondering if a $15 universal remote might be a solution.

Hi, I just joined this group. I’m using a Carver HTR-880 receiver that’s lain dormant in my home for a few years. It works great with my newly acquired B&W speakers. Only one problem: either the RH-88 remote no longer works or the IR receiver in the Carver unit doesn’t work. There’s no replacement for an RH-88 but I’m wondering if anyone has had success with a universal remote, or any other ideas. Thanks for listening! 😀
