Thanks everyone! For the TD-1700, I put up a search on the bay for the remote. I spent much of last weekend reverse engineering the protocol, I think I got it so I have programmed a learning remote and now have full control of the transport. Jon

Hi Good to find the community! Got a TD-1700. Stripped and re-lubed the mechanism, new belts and tyre, mechanical and electrical alignment all done and it is making great recordings and playback! Jon
