  1. Ar9jim Yes, i did replace the electrolytics. And did have a bad solder joint found by flexing a board thought it was a transistor, but it was a solder joint. I thought i would ask here before i get it removed and onto the bench. Its just odd to me that its all of the sudden, and that its always same timing sequence. Left channel "tic"? About 3seconds after i hear the relay(s), just after start up.
  2. Hello, new here and trying to follow instruction. Ive been a fan of Carver and PL for 35 years i think. Finally gathered some specimens and have restored each as best i can. My reason for this "post"? Is recently a Phase Linear Model 300 seriesTwo Amplifier that i restored ?4 years ago, has a new noise. Left channel makes a tic or pop of sorts, about 3 seconds after the relays click after start up. Its not terribly loud, but very bothersome. Unit is still operational. If this brief explanation is of any use to you in helping me, thats fantastic! Im away from home and on the road so, i wont be on here for a few hours, but i am hoping for a nudge in the proper direction. -Lurk
