I do recall my 901's sounding really nice in my concrete military dorm room back in 1990.

30 years later and bouncing off drywall, they sound a little softer but I don't crank them up like I used to either...I really enjoyed the sound of Polk speakers in those days too.

No,  I just know how the sound and how rooms effect sound.
