emmjlm 5 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 @ under a $1 each you really can't go wrong with vinyl if it is not scratched. Yesterday I stopped by after work to find somebody else's trash to be my new treasure. 50 albums, 7 Elton John, 2 CSN, a CSN&Y, 2 James Taylor, Jethro Tull, 2 Bob Dillan, Jimi Hendrix, Lovin Spoonful, Booker & Heat, Psychedelic Lollipop Blues magoos, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, etc. Almost all in VG+ to mint condition, all still have original sleeves and any posters & booklets. Ooh, Sound of Music (favorite for my daughter and I) and Meatloaf Bat Outa Hell - sweet!
zumbini 6,150 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Congrats emmjlm! That should keep your turntable busy for a while.
Guest RodH Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Sweet score! We should all hunt down the old LPs while people think it's of little value... I might check out the local bargain distributors at lunchtime today.
TNRabbit 371 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I sold over 3,000 LPs to a local guy last year for $240.00~
TNRabbit 371 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Well, it was in 2008, but I TRIED to get someone to take them...
Guest RodH Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 My Bad. I was off by myself in the audio wilderness in 2008.... My wife is eternally grateful that I missed out on that!
