jmcipale 91 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 The bad part about the PNW is that good quality FM stations are hard to come by. There are maybe two that are not filled with talking ad nauseum and rampant "fund raising" (speaking of fund-raising, WTH is going to happen now that the Corp for Public Broadcasting closed up shop? (Political comments stuffed in the closet). I did happen to find a good station to stream from the Bay Area: https://kcsm.org/ It is A LOT better than my usual station (https://www.kmhd.org/) and had a more varied playlist (sorry KMHD, I can only listen to the same Kamasi Washington tune so many times before my ears get tired). I am still in the market for a digital streamer instead of my MacBook, so that will be a little better audio I expect. 3
Sk1Bum 12,721 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 If you like the blues, KWPQ is a local low power FM station that has no commercials, and is supported entirely by donations. You can stream them online directly from their web site: https://kwpq.org/ As for streamers, the WiiM Ultra has become popular here. Right now it's available on Amazon with a 10% off coupon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D41YCLW8?th=1 WiiM Ultra discussion here: 2
jmcipale 91 Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Sk1Bum, actually considering the WiiM AirPlay 2. I was looking at the Arylic S10, but the Andriod app is incompatible with my J23 Samsung. 1
jmcipale 91 Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Sk1Bum, I have heard great things about KWPQ. I will give them a listen and add them to my station repertoire. Joe 1
