Sold my MartinLogan Source speakers today and it's time to buy some new stuff. The ML's sounded good on axis but were awful for HT use. I like 'em big and loud. I'll be pushing whatever I get with a TFM-35.I do about 50/50 2 channel and HT use. My wife won't let me put my Polk SDA1C's in the living room....soooo. Suggestions, thoughts, recommendations?

LSi15's $849 with free shipping! I'm pulling the trigger on Monday via telephone and try to pay for faster shipping rather than do it online. You can pop out the stock 8" woofer and drop in a polk DB840(SVC) ($57 each on Amazon) and it gives them more guts in the low end.I'm going to push them with my trusty TFM-35 and I think at 4 ohms thats about 380wpc. Using my new Yamaha RX-A820 then running the front channels through the pre outs to the Carver. I like using my ipad/iphone app as a remote with the Yamaha..great app! I have it all set up wireless via a bridge along with my Roku and PS3, can even see my movies and pics on my PC. Amazing stuff these days. Now I just need to get my poor old TFM-25 fixed for bi-amping or using it on my SDA's in my shop along with my C-1.

Bi-amping on your LSi 15's isnt worth it.  Your TFM will provide more than adequate power for them.  If you were to do anything either make some custom jumpers of your own, or get some bi-wire speaker cables.

I drive my LSi 15's with a Carver AV-705x and they sound great with just the 705x.  I have a Carver M1.0t at Vintage Hi-Fi getting a tune up and it will be driving them shortly.

I have done the db840 mod on mine and they do sound much better.  I would suggest waiting till Crutchfield has a buy one get one free sale on the Polk stuff.  They do that sale every couple months.  You could save yourself a couple bucks doing that.  Plus then you will be able to hear the difference between the stock and aftermarket sub.

The TFM-25 would be much better suited for the SDA's or heck even use it for the LSi's and the 35 for the SDA's

Thanks! Helicopterpilotdoug is hooking me up with some cables and I'm going to also get him to make me some jumpers. I'll use the 35 on the LSi's till my shop is finished out then I should have the 25 back and I'll decide which amp goes where. I really appreciate the feedback! My shop is just bare walls right now and hopefully this week we will be runnng the 100a electric service to it, then wiring, insulation and drywall. Gonna be nice having a playhouse!
