Good Afternoon,

I just picked up a pair of Infinity 1001's. Some replaced the original woofers with Radio Shack woofers.
I am looking for a pair of original woofers, something that can be refoamed or worth repairing. Infinity site says NLA,
suggested replacement is  # 902-1187. If anyone has any info or rebuildable woofers  please give me a holler .

I had a pair of these in the late 70's seems the cone was covered with tar from the edge of the center cap out about half way to the edge

Those Infinity's were my first "Audiophile" speakers! I got them when I was 16 from my Uncle and remember just marveling at how good they sounded and how they sounded so much better than my big Fisher 3 ways. They sounded even better when I hooked up my 1st power amp, a Carver TFM-35 and fed them enough juice. Amazingly deep bass and with the tweeter on the back, they imaged very well.

Amen brother,

I have been looking for a pair for two years now finally found some. Gene C hooked me up with Mike Marks, I am working on some original woofers to install in them someone took them out along time ago. Kind of a tribute to my late brother. Back in the day he came home with a pair of those, a Spectro Acoustics 101 preamp
A Micro Sieki direct drive turn table and this crazy huge amp, A phase linear 400. That system was probably the start of my tinnitus.
