  1. Thanks for the welcomes. I dont have any good photos of my tube gear, but one of my favorites is below. I was sorting my vinyl the other day while Charlotte and I rocked out to the Mickey Mouse Club House sound track. Right after this was taken she starting dancing. I was using spotify running though my dacmagic plugged into an Adcom 710 pre and dynaco st-70. Sadly all my carver gear is loaned out to my brother. I will try and get some photos this weekend and update my post in the member system section. I also have some updating to do my thread about my room that I started awhile back. Tube gear wise I have a Dynaco St-70 and a two Dynakit Pam 1 pre amps with the stereo conversion box. The preamp will be sent off this weekend to have a professional look over it and bring up to speed.
  2. Things have been a little crazy around here and I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with all my forums. I have added a few audio pieces to my collection, mostly tube stuff. Currently my carver gear is loaned out to my brother who is getting a kick out of them. He has them hooked up to a pair of Polk Audio SDA-2Bs I got him as gift. Hope everything has gone well here, it's nice to back.
  3. Here is my thought.
  4. Welcome, I would recommend hanging onto your wallet! The more you read the more you will want to spend...
  5. made". My reasoning is that the corners on your M-1.5t are about half the radius that Carver normally used. To illustrate I pasted the suspect M-1.5t corner next to your stock C-1 corner with the 0o and 90o marks lined up. I was careful to maintain scale on both photos Thanks for sharing! I always seem to attract the oddball pieces. I am usually not one for cosmetics but even I have to admit it would of looked better if it were left factory original. However like stated before I am glad who ever did it was smart enough to have it done by a pro. Looks like I may be starting the hunt for a parts M1.5T or just the faceplate.
  6. Great post Zumbini! Is there a chance its factory and just and oddball or more likely did someone mod it to fit one of the smaller units?
  7. This is my first M1.5T so I do not have anything to compare it to.
  8. Thanks for all the kind welcomes! Tonight I will try and get some photos of my complete setup and post those in the members system section. Its nothing fancy but it sounds great to my ears. I probably should say a little more about myself. I am first year chemistry teacher at a Air Force JROTC academy, my wife is also a science teacher. We have a 14 month old little girl who loves music! Daddy is teaching her well, even at this young of an age. My fist carver purchase was the TFM 25, one of the meters is broken but the price was right. After that purchase I was hooked! I heard a lot of good things about the M1.5T and when one came up locally with a C1 pre I jumped on it. Still getting used to the sound of the M1.5T vs. the TFM 25. I love them both but they do have their differences.
  9. I am loving the sound, I just acquired it today so I am still getting used it and its quirks. Its currently running a pair of SDA 1Cs.
  10. My recent acquisitions, a Carver C1 on top of a Carver M1.5T. My first purchase a few months ago, a Carver TFM-25. All of this is running a pair of Polk SDA 1Cs.
  11. Hey I joined awhile back and have been reading and learning quite a bit. I am proud to announce I am the owner of some recently acquired carver gear and I hope to learn more about.
