Anyone doing BillD mods in the Southern California area?
The C1 is fairly light and relatively cheap to ship. If you can find one of the techs from this site that has time and is willing to take on the billD mod, shipping all the way across the country would still be worth it.

I rather like the rice-paper ones.
They are garbage. The plastic ones are garbage as well. Everyone knows that you should only use record sleeves made from sun-bleached alpaca skin. They usually stock them right next to MIT cables!

The term white van speaker has been around for a while, although now you will see people selling these in all makes and models of vehicles. Minivans, Fleet Vans, pickup trucks. I've seen them and selling them several times in Indianapolis and none of the times have they actually been in a white van. LOL

It's also one of three extremely over-played songs I refuse to listen to anymore. Freebird, Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven.Frey wrote the lyrics to Hotel California. It is considered to be the most famous of all the Eagles songs and it certainly has the best lyrics. It is listed on pretty much every top 10 list of rock songs all time. Clearly it is Frey's masterpiece. The Hell Freezes Over live Hotel California is one of my go-to reference tracks. It is one of the best engineered live recordings I have heard.
The one issue I have with the Live version is the bass line. The loudness level on the subs seems very artificial. Try it with a Sunfire EQ-10. I have to turn the sub down two notches.I don't run a sub with my SDA's so I don't get that as much. I like the way you can actually feel the bass drum punch you in the chest.

Spectacular! I really enjoyed meeting a couple members at last year's Fest and look forward to meeting a fee more this year!

I'm committing to 5 for the week. Not sure about Bill.
Be great to meet you Kevin!
You don't know that! You haven't met him yet. He might be a real a-hole, like me!

Excellent! I'm thrilled to be staying in 5 again and l am looking forward to meeting new friends!

Watershed 1 is a one bedroom unit ( just in case you didn't know). Plenty of floor space though.Nicole is no longer at the property. I have Watershed 1 (4 people - Bill, Kevin, Travis, myself) on hold till I talk to Chris for discounts. WooHoo!Argh! I will check tomorrow with Chris and will reserve a bigger place. The lady said it could accommodate 4 people. It can...2 couples! Lol
5 is an ideal cabin if we can get enough people in it.
-
If there are toobes, Kevin and Bill will show up without my persuasion.@Travis... Let me talk to them and see if there are enough people for Watershed 5. (I cannot stay the whole 2 weeks though). Perhaps if we can gather 12 C! folks, it might work to coordinate dates.
My dates are pretty well open. So I can fill in a 5-7 day spot wherever needed.

If someone decides to rent Watershed 5 this year, I'd love to rent a bunk in the basement. I stayed there last year and loved it. That cabin has 3 bedrooms plus a basement with 3 pairs of bunkbeds.Did that my first year. Who knew bunkbeds could be that comfortable? Hope you make it again this year.
I'm going...just not sure where I'll be sleeping!

Thanks for all that you do, Greg. It is not unnoticed or unappreciated. I have really enjoyed the atmosphere of the site and I really like the direction it has taken.

Awesome. I'm anxious to find out if it works.

Mine is a Sony player/recorder. I'm a big Donald Fagen/Steely Dan fan. If the unit works, I will probably buy some blank discs to record directly from PandoraI never bought an mini disc that already had music, to me the whole point of mini discs was that I could record them, so I always used them to record my CDs and take the mini discs with me. I had a home Mini Disc recorder, a Sony disc man (like a Walk Man) and a 4-MiniDisc changer in my car. To me they sounded very similar to CDs. I still have them but I haven't used them in more than a decade. What kind of music do you like, if I have a CD you like I can burn it on mini disc and send it to you.If your mini disc is a recorder, you can buy a blank mini disc and record it yourself, it's really simple!

Welcome back!
I've owned a lot of the same Carver gear as you and just recently purchased my first Sunfire amp. I have to agree...you have to add some digits to the price of a Sunfire, or Carver amp for that matter, to find something that is even comparable.
