Just saw this thread today and thought that I would add my "two cents worth", albeit a few months late... I bought a pair of Industrial LaScala's in 1980 (new). They had a krinkle black finish with metal trim all around the edges, and side carrying handles- I had a mobile disco. This was the "unsplit" version. I may have had a tweeter replaced after 1st got them, other than that, they are still working great 42years later. The industrial version was rated for a little more power- 200w but may have only been rated to 45Hz instead of 40Hz. I almost sold them but my wife talked me out of it thankfully. I have currently have them with a Carver PSC60 tuner/preamp and Crown SA2. They have plenty of bass most of the time, but I do have a subwoofer I can switch in if needed. They sound really good with most music that I listen too. They have been with me too long and in too many photos to ever part with, and I played them for one of my sons and think he will inherit them at some point.
