I have two Receiver 2000 units, one has the remote, though I don't want to sell it and  'break up the set'.  Might be able to program a universal type with it - not sure.  Will mess with it when I get back home in a month or so, if you're interested in that solution.

Those were the first Carver remotes, and they are pretty primitive.  Bulky, and they don't do very many things, either.  And worst of all for me, at the time I wanted to use one, the CFL bulbs of a decade ago (and even a sunny window) would set off unsolicited actions at random.  Either receiver would maybe change stations, or just shut itself off at any moment.  It made the units unusable, so I disabled the remote circuitry in both receivers.

So be careful what you ask for...
