I've been a lurker for a while, and figured I might as well join up.
Over the years I've had several nice systems, but poor life choices have seen them sold off (or carried off by an x-wife). I have been without a system for the past year or so, and am now in a position to start building again, which is fine by me because I honestly have as much fun building the system as I do listening to it. Of all the amps I've owned, Carver has been my favorite. I have taken a lot of crap for my choice over the years. self proclaimed audiophiles have always told me that the size/heat/output combination that Carver offers is not physically possible, and that either the power numbers are fudged or there are other tradeoffs like distortion. I say BS, as these folks that bash Carver usually have never even listened to Carver, let alone owned Carver amps.
Anyway, thanks for letting me in!
Tom
