Carver Collecter

My M1.5 seems to mount nicely in between the rack rails of Middle Atlantic gear. The notches cut into the factory faceplate line up and the device fits between the rack rail edges. However, my C-1 preamp side screws protrude too far and the unit will not fit between the edges of the rack rails. All I can think of is to grind the rail edges back a bit. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal on the carver devices that have the early rack mounting notched faceplates? Thank you. CarverCollector.
