  1. Its the fine, exquisite details, of a service or restoration that matters! I am not sure how anyone can look at this thread, then say, "I am sending my amp to "Bob-the-builder" and expect this level of service, not to mention the killer warranty! Nailed it! Yall are superb!
  2. I needed a new project! Looking on AliExpress this same kit is $10 cheaper and free shipping -- if is coming from offshore at ebay or Ali, the wait will be the same.... Now for the tubes. This should pair well with my TL-3300. I have squandered more money for less value on other things 🙂
  3. Conrad, I know this post is WAYYYY Late, but I have a full real service manual for the TL-3300. Ping me back.
  4. jmcipale -- sorry for botching your handle last message. I will say the same of my TL-3300. That series has very good DACs for the day. The same era, my Yamaha CDX-910 sounds very good. And that one has digital output, whereas the TL-3300 does not. I suppose I could modify for digital output, but why bother. Leave the vintage piece alone!
  5. jmpale -- This is great news, and certainly vital information for the group. Who woulda thunk? Motor bias? That is not an obvious first choice :-) Pics and sounds when you get it back please! Congrats, from one TL-3000 series owner to another!
  6. NEW! No Brainer! The new one looks so sweet!
  7. This is the critical glossed over detail: "So motors are ordered" --- Useful info for DYI'ers | part number, manufacturer, replacement ID, something?
  8. Yep, I am a Galaxy S10/Win10 holdout - going full Linux, including a Linux Phone. I am done with big brother!
  9. The WiiM is no Sansui SE-9 -- HAHA! It does have an applet called RoomFit, whereby the Apple Phone will be the device microphone used to set up a contour for the subwoofer if one is in the system. Android users are out of luck for that portion as well. Far from using REW or the like.
  10. Old school meets new school. I wanted to use the WiiM Ultra as a global EQ Processor, to route any C1 source audio through the WiiM to take advantage of the graphic and parametric EQ that is in the WiiM. Old school in thought, and knowing the C1 has a so-called External Processor (aka, another tape loop) to route audio. In short, the WiiM Ultra has Input and Output RCA, just like any old-school EQ. Use it as such! Insert the WiiM into the External Processor loop. Then, the WiiM can be used as normal, UN-EQ'd source if you will. But if the SOURCE on the WiiM is RCA, then any sound source on the C1 will route. Use the EQ! Purists scoff! I dont care. My hearing is far from purists these days. I am looking for flexibility, to use what the WiiM has to offer. You choose!
  11. Its the price we pay to keep old mechanical devices working. If I were trying to fix the deck to add to my Carver Stack, at least for working, AND MATCHING component, I would risk the 5340, ONCE! Best of luck. Dont allow this is to irritate. Some of the best car restorations have to wait it out to find the right part, searching every corner of the world 🙂
  12. Joe, Just know that NAD player listed in the link above is not verified by me. You may want to grab its service manual, look up the part. Let us know if you will go for the cannibalization direction 🙂
  13. I saw your pics in the diyaudio site. Definitely not a drop in replacement part. The laser diode is not even close to position. A quick search reveals that the DLBA1 part is in a NAD 5340 player, according to the links below. The second link is to that NAD 5340 for sale on eBay. I dont know what you paid for the new part, but you could take a chance on the NAD 5340 as a part source. https://dutchaudioclassics.nl/philips_cdm_cd_mechanism_list/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/356920694890?itmmeta=01K36MWRH47MYFCQFSF92GMAJM&hash=item531a21986a:g:63UAAOSwo1Fm9fQm&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA4MHg7L1Zz0LA5DYYmRTS30llhIebCcOJUI0--lMkx4yfVzyyOUPv3GcAOGWEht98w%2BcsIvdgkHP%2BYkwKtPYAiFiUnf53J3aKqdeEhKr3EP4SrEFT1ZMK3ZFZXKbPlCzwWntEGj2YKw4JGWKDVbm4tKVV3s2m0AuoeOs6igpiHHz2hn8s1YvfhMfvNJANI63zOKK0tDrE8jf8GpzKmhe2CAXfpGp8XvawFFkLuMnd7MkoG8ivGdPLa9Qi8uCSaUlixP6%2FTZEP6qMsRETv%2BL6p9H24%2B2GQ2jHo5UmHGuCvVDMJ|tkp%3ABk9SR9iI89SZZg
