Ratamahatta 437 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 local pawnshop finds, Klipsch Forte 2 upgraded. In excellent condition and sound fantastic previous owner upgraded x-overs with Sonic caps and titanium tweeter diaphragms. he also put grills over the rear passives. Totally different sound than I am used to but I like it. Kind of in your face sound and bright but not really fatiguing if set up right and you can hear everything the drummer is doing on the high hats and ride. The region has been free of any carver gear. here are some pics. I also found a Paradigm pw 2100 v2, some Acoustic Research powered partners at good will for 15 bucks, a NHT sub ten, and some NHT 2.5i.

Ratamahatta 437 Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Well lady luck came with an unwanted visitor, Brother pain. shortly after posting this I started having back problems and have been out of it for two days now. Getting better now but still not out of the woods. Funny thing is I don't remember doing anything to provoke this.
zumbini 6,153 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Congrats on the new toys Ratamahatta. Your "back problem" may be the result of aggravating an old injury that is now long forgotten. My back locks up occasionally (and for no apparent reason) thanks to a torn muscle that occured in 1981. The original injury seemed minor at the time but the scar tissue that show up on xrays says otherwise. 2
