A great movie, one of my all-time favorites, impossible to forget.  My favorite character is Louie, the chiropractor; one of his lines has stuck with me: ...if you're frightened of dying and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth.  It's based upon themes from The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

I freaking love Jacob's Ladder.  The first time I saw it I was pretty...um...high.  

 

Let's just say that didn't help matters much.....
