pindrop 330 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 How about a full set up for Home Theatre surround using Definitive Technology in your $ +- 500 price range. Check the prices on what is below and PM me if you're interested. WAF is high on these and they are full range. This set up sounds awesome as they are, I just haven't refurbished the cosmetics yet so if you're handy I can save you a bunch and you get the whole matching system at once. My wife loved the sound and look when I set it all up temporarily here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Definitive-Technology-BP-10-Bi-Polar-Tower-Speakers-/111573095174?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item19fa465306 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Definitive-Technology-CLR-1000-Center-Channel-Speaker-/331556791727?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d325325af http://www.ebay.com/itm/Definitive-BP-2-Bi-Polar-surround-stand-speakers-Original-Box-and-Manual-/161704516112?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a6571a10
dr_gallup 42 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 She's still not impressed or willing to keep them. Anyone in LA area looking for some SDA SRS 2's? Blade-blade interconnect. PM me if you are looking. I think I'm going to find something a little bit smaller. I figure I can build a subwoofer cabinet as the TV stand and then get some two way speakers. Looking at the Tekton Lore speakers for front mains. As an engineering design project, I'm trying to figure out how to fit six 12" woofers in a space 60" long. Picking up an ATI 1506 Friday for the amp to drive them. Also found some other amps, a Parasound HCA-2200II and HCA-806A. The 806 was damaged in shipping and I'm waiting to see what to do with it. The 2200 is a 60lb monster. One last thought is to start cutting circular holes in the walls all over the place. I have enough amps to run 18 channels if the 806 gets fixed. It may be sacrilege to say this on a Caver site but I have one of the Parasound HCA-2200II that I bought when I got tired of repairing my M1.5t and it has been a great amp. Never a hint of trouble, sounds great. It does put off a fair amount of heat as it runs class A up to about 6 watts output. A very stable amp that can drive low impedance loads with ease.
