The Television builders should consider ribbons instead of regular speakers for the TV speakers, and a 2-way design which should provide much better sound then what it does currently, with such technology.

Very interesting. Picture looks just like the ribbon material in the Amazings. Since the Website is in German it is hard to tell whether it could be purchased or not.

Found this looking for Apogee Ribbons

Got a pair of Apogee Calipers off ebay with a torn ribbon for $30/originally $2000 new in 1988

So I translated it (Google Translate)

Got his contact info and sent him an email...

He sells Apogee Ribbons...only other supplier is "Graz"...in Australia 

I think he wants a Carver ALS "Donor Ribbon" to copy...

Waiting to see what Bob and James come up with

James told me a while back that after the dust settled from the CF Speaker build that he was going to work hard to get the Kapton supply issue worked out. Should not be hard to find a bad ribbon somewhere to scavenge a small sample.

Hello Bob,

i have no layout for the Carver ribbons but i can make a copy of them
if you send me the dimensions in mm. My Kapton is 25 µm + 15 µm or 12
mµ Aluminium. You can send me also a broken Carver ribbon for copying.
