Good video.  I've seen that one.

 

For sure, one thing Bezos did was put 100% of his time in on positive activities that accreted and ensured the success of world domination of the book retail business.  He virtually pounded the pavement (virtually - online) driving visibility for the differentiation value his business model provided..., he clearly had a "written strategy document" that laid out his plans for "winning" and where he was going to win (what markets, when, along his growth path, while in the background hitting every milestone (development, marketing, product, etc.) on his roadmap.

 

He waited on no one, held people accountable for even the most simple and small tasks to ensure the foundation for growth and success was achieved - early on.   

 

Love him or hate him, love Amazon or hate Amazon..., no one can deny this model for success.  A great model to apply.
