Loudness Wars

I stopped buying music CD's about 10 years ago because I thought they sounded terrible and for what I was getting overpriced.

 

I recently started looking into other sources , FLAC etc, and I came across the loudness wars as an explanation for bad CD's. A YouTube search will find a couple of videos about it too. Here is a good link about the reasons behind it.

I just wish they would STOP the loudness war on TV, too! Time to break out the turntables and RTR decks in a big way!
