SteveK 88
I stopped buying music CD's about 10 years ago because I thought they sounded terrible and for what I was getting overpriced. I recently started looking into other sources , FLAC etc, and I came across the loudness wars as an explanation for bad CD's. A YouTube search will find a couple of videos about it too. Here is a good link about the reasons behind it. Steve http://spectrum.ieee.org/computing/software/the-future-of-music/
