keithnh 6 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Managed to finally acquire correct on off push-button assy replacement as well as the new button cap (which was all I needed) for my MXR 130. Also used a small section of Alien-tape to secure the front control panel, could not see how it was factory installed. Did manage to lose the 6 cabinet cover screws and now need to find suitable replacements before I hook up my entire entertainment system. Ordered 8/36 1/2" that did not fit, close but would not thread in. The MXR-130 will be the center of my audio setup. It will have a Denon DP-200USB turn table, Polk XM tuner XRt12, CD, MD, dual Marantz PMD300CP cassette, Pfantone SS-2 pre-preamp(for my turntable MC cartridge) and a Harmon Kardon BTA10 bluetooth(modernize .. aux input?). Have an input switch box which may be kind of "dirty" and a Marantz AT-6 audio digital timer I was hoping to fit in if I can figure out how to use it. 2 sets of tower speakers Kirsch and Advent .. will have to see which sound better. Need to acquire clean hookup wiring though I have the Monster cable I will use for speakers. Any helpful input apprecated Edited February 2 by keithnh add 6
Yamacarver 733 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 The bta10 rocks, the auxiliary input is fine. Nice setup, hope to see some pictures soon.
3M_Audio 1,647 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I'll echo @Yamacarver that your BT receiver can connect right to your AUX input. However, you did mention that your current input switcher was a bit 'dirty', so you may want to think about investing in a new switcher. For an inexpensive unit, I have been impressed by the switchers from Douk Audio. They have completely passive units but also some active units that have BT receivers built in along with clocks, spectrum analyzers, level controls, remotes, etc. 1
