  1. There is a slightly OT discussion about Power Steering Mode and using just one channel on each m500t and letting it borrow power from the other side, if necessary, without bridging. This is also what prompted my question. Will keep an eye on the m500t s that I have. How does that work?
  2. They can't be bi-amped. Just run one amp?
  3. I was so excited to hear them I wasn't thinking. What is the best way to handle this?
  4. Just cooled down and they both are functioning fine

  6. What did I just do? I was listening to the Carver Reference Disc. Unbelievable I couldn't believe how amazing it sounded. I turned it up a notch, maybe a couple notches and both amps (M500 t MK II) went dead simultaneously. They are both hotter than 5hi7.
  7. Yes folded ribbons
  8. Listening to Nora Jones (a go to album for new equipment) and the sound is simply amazing.
  9. Amazing bass for such a little speaker. Much better highs. The sound stage is about the same but I had a great sound stage to begin with. A lot less muddy when cranked up.
  10. Pics are coming. Just got them set up. Much smaller than the VonSchweikerts.
  11. After hearing these speakers at AXPONA I was blown away. Best sounding speakers at the show. I've lusted after them ever since and the UPS man was nice enough to bring me a pair today
  12. I'm a firm believer that the room is almost as important as your speakers. The difference can be startling. Not an imaginary, I think that sounds better, but an instant significant noticeable improvement. Plus it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. There's more to it than getting a flat response. I'm still learning and adjusting my room but I've already made a good system sound great by working on reflecting areas, diffusion and absorption.
  13. The Dire Straights "Brothers in Arms" on 180 gram pressing is pretty damn good.
  14. I have the 1985 cd, original vinyl and a 180 gram vinyl. They all sound great lol
  15. Very nice work. I wish I had those skills.
  16. That's interesting. My Dire Straights CD from the 80s is one of the very few CDs I listen to. I didn't know it is know for its clarity but it's one of the few CDs I think sound as good as my vinyl.
  17. Vinyl (banned cover)
