I'm not really the type to be led so I will research what I've been told in this forum and go from there ,but at least I can narrow it down and see what suits me I have been reading forums in this site for a time now and value all opinions and have a real respect for what's happening here,anyone who takes time to help like this is okay by me.

Well I would have to agree that there's no sense in adding that second amp as it's easy enough to find the very edge of those cerwins with just one.I do like the idea of running 4 big speakers off those two amps, but I would have to say those Polk sda srs look like they should live with me. I will make change for sure. The bass is incredible in those cerwins but mid is lacking , I don't want to service them if they aren't staying. If there is better, louder ,cleaner more true out there with same or better bass, I want them badly lol.

I have purchased two M1.5ts as a package deal for 90$ and I managed to get a c4000 preamp for 100$ I had the amps serviced and hooked one amp /preamp up last night and I have to say I was just blown away at the sound (first time ever hearing carver or any higher end equipment) running through a pair of cerwin at15s.I have a couple of sets of smaller speakers cv hed / Yamaha ns670s should I hook up the second amp to this system or no. I guess I'm asking for configuration suggestions at a very basic level . I looked at the preamp manual and realized I'm even more of a novice than I first thought.ANY thoughts would be appreciated.

My wife is onboard with me as long as I don't get" too out of hand".She really is lovin the clean sound and I can see that look in her eye when hears stuff she's heard before but never really heard,and I'm just getting started.I feel lucky to have her.

Well I have to say that I appreciate the responses so far and I'm glad to see nobody has the exact same opinions or this wouldn't be any fun at all,it is giving me a better idea of what to look for and research so please don't hesitate, it's not falling on deaf ears haha.

I have the fortune to live reasonably close to a major city and I'm seeing on a few buy/sell sites what I think must be very good deals on different brands of high end speakers. I listen to mainly rock old and new ,I like a fair amount of bass and too bright makes me cringe. So what I'm asking is for opinions on make/model/price on floor speakers that may suit my preferences so I can keep an eye out. The room they are for is 15 x15 with carpeted floor and wood walls and ceiling.Power will be two M 1.5t's and ct 17 pre/tuner.Loud and clean is my objective.

I believe the best plan now is to get everything cleaned and serviced so as not to damage and get what I'm looking for out them.

I have been reading a fair amount on this site and I feel like I've dropped the ball on pursuing a passion ,and I envy each and every person on here who has had the satisfaction of enjoying quality sound.

Thanks for a warm welcome.I have to confess I have never heard anything carver and was motivated to start buying this stuff because of a brochure of Bob's that I read as a teenager that has never left me.you can't get any greener than that and i'm probably more excited than an old guy should be.

I am seeing a fair amount of carver stuff on local sites for very little money if you get on them fast.

So I have recently reawakened and am trying to build a system that will make me have that giddy feeling,on an elastic band keeping my shoe on budget.Here's what I have found so far,2/ M1.5t 's 90$ for the pair.(going in to be serviced by a site approved facility)and ct 17 tuner/pre.100$ So here's the thing I have a pair of cv-at 15 and a pair cv- d8 and a pair of Yamaha ns670. Am I doing these amps injustice by using these speakers? I am very green, any type of help would be appreciated.I listen to mainly old and new rock.
