Ya, mine was 42653 and though I spent many hours running engines on the ground, never did have the opportunity to take the reins in flight. Being a new unit and a special project for TAC, flight crews were a bit nervous and held to protocol. We used to joke that with all of our ground run experience we could get one in the air, but landing it in one piece, might present a bit of a challenge .... LOL
Our primary mission then was communication jamming and enemy communication disarray, flying with a number of linguists onboard. The backend was one big room of computers & consoles, specialists who spoke Russian, Chinese, Arabic, French, etc. The capabilities were pretty incredible.
