  1. Ya, mine was 42653 and though I spent many hours running engines on the ground, never did have the opportunity to take the reins in flight. Being a new unit and a special project for TAC, flight crews were a bit nervous and held to protocol. We used to joke that with all of our ground run experience we could get one in the air, but landing it in one piece, might present a bit of a challenge .... LOL Our primary mission then was communication jamming and enemy communication disarray, flying with a number of linguists onboard. The backend was one big room of computers & consoles, specialists who spoke Russian, Chinese, Arabic, French, etc. The capabilities were pretty incredible. Agreed - Herks and Carver!
  2. Very cool ... I spent my time with the EC130 Compass Call Program, under TAC back then. Turboprop mechanic, but never had a chance to work on the OV-10.
  3. Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome, and great advice! I'll be trying the suggestions made and will report back. @BobTFM35 Former Herk pilot/engineer/tech?
  4. Hey Rob, Awesome, thanks for providing that info. I did manage to find my way to the manuals, very cool database. Weekend being over I will need to run through this t-shooting list next weekend. Yes sir, I do have the remote.
  5. Hello All, Glad to have stumbled upon this group while searching for info on my Carver HR-722, which powers up but won't let me select an input. Have owned it since the mid-eighties and it has given me a lot of years of great service. Looking forward to reading through the threads here and reacquainting myself with Carver equipment. My youngest son just graduated with an AS in Audio Engineering and looking forward to passing it on to him. Thanks for adding me in!
