Ratamahatta 437 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I have heard just about all the Sunfire sub out there but I have never heard a Earthquake Supernova before. I did a quick search here and did not turn up much. Anyone have a chance to directly compare two in the same league? If so how do they compare? Not that either would work in my application because I only have one corner and its occupied by a fake fireplace and Christmas tree for a month out of the year but was just curious. Or any other like comparisons? anything like the Sunfire, compact same size passive as active. Thanks
BillWojo 542 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 What ever you do, don't put the Christmas tree on top of the sub, all your decorations will be on the floor. LOL BillWojo 2
Ratamahatta 437 Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 And you thought putting a plant on top of your speakers was bad
oldtexasdog 2,492 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Not having a corner was something Bob considered when he built the Sunfire True Subwoofer Architectural series. Have you considered one of those? I am very happy with mine and with some shopping I picked it up on the cheap. Sorry I have no experience with the Earthquake Subs 1
Ratamahatta 437 Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 I do have the 12"Architectural and got Bill to give it the Midas touch. Its just both the 10" Sunfire and 10" Earthquake came up locally and was wondering. I am not getting either of these and if in the future I want something I am just going to build it. Here is a link to both and he is selling both of these on e-bay as well 400 for a 10" and it says its been recently re-capped and has a receipt. http://www.tmraudio.com/products/subwoofers
oldtexasdog 2,492 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 How much "RUMBLE" do you need? Not a bad price on those-fair. 1
Ratamahatta 437 Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 I have enough for now LOL, just on the lookout to see what else is out there. I thought it was a good price too but unfortunately or more like fortunately already spent my allowance on a new amp. Seems like a great deal for somebody here. Eventually I will build another sealed and the Sunfire will go to the 2.1 room.
