Does anyone use noise stopper caps on the RCA jacks? If so do you hear any difference or what . I can see using them to keep the jacks clean just not sure if there is any other benefit.

Thanks,

I use them just to keep the connections clean. I mean, look at all of the possibilities for say, RF to enter a component. The vents for one thing in a lot of equipment are wide open to RF nasties. I buy the cheap, gold plated Chinese kind from Ebay for $10-15. You get like 10 or more shipped for that price. I'm not against the AC outlet covers either. They look cool, keep the dust out and that's about it.

This may seem as an aside, but it's not. Yesterday, I replaced a selector switch in my amp. I had more than one reason to do it, but as it applies to this sort of noise reduction, this configuration of the switch allowed me to switch not only the signal from one source to another, but the grounds as well. To that end, RCA caps have no relevance for unused inputs.

I pondered that question for a moment and then thought about a how tomb quiet my C-1 is and then remembered the spec of -114 s/n, I can't think of a use other than cleanliness because I sure don't see the backside of my components for extended periods.

A few years ago I moved my mini system to my 2nd floor office/bedroom.
I immediately noticed hum and bleed-through from a nearby radio station.
Wrapping the unused C-2 RCA sockets with aluminum foil blocked the RFI completely.
