I heard the stories throughout my childhood...my father baking powdercoated parts in his (ex) wife's kitchen stove, the small engine builds in the living room...all of our RC work that happened at the kitchen table...

I've done my fair share of that. Most true 'gearheads' have. Us audio freaks do it too....Eric Crossman and I did our fare share of woodwork inside the house when it seemed to make sense to.
Audio equipment looked in place to us when sometimes it realistically had no place being wherever it was.

So, take us to this AM. The dishwasher drain backs up bad. Well, finally pinpointed it. Opened it, terrible smell. I NEVER use it, so why not remove it rather than repair? OK...

A quick visual scan and verification via a yardstick ensured it fit...

It's good for a laugh. Honestly, the point is, as much as things might suck sometimes (I've been under the house twice, had all the windows open due to terrible odor, etc) always try to find a reason to laugh about whatever situation you might find yourself in!

Nimble thinking there, TT. We never use our dishwasher either, it is a place for glasses, cups, etc. I knew someone who used theirs as a bookrack. I like the re-imagining.

With a few mods a dishwasher makes a great bulk record cleaner.....
