klipsch ksw100 subwoofer loud hum problem

Hi,

Got this for a project. woofer needed refoaming. Did the foam plugged it in and it worked until I moved it then there is a loud hum. Moved it and it went away now it wont go away. Its a loud hum like you can hear it in other rooms.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not that I know anything,  but given that moving it changed things, I'd look at your inputs.

yup, did that . also changed the way it can be hooked up and still the same problem

60hz ish? Sounds like a grounding issue inside the sub - perhaps a dangling wire from the removal and reinstall of the driver. Intermittent contact at first, now constant contact.

 In many cases, I disconnect anything feeding the device to hear if it is the actual culprit. That is a starting point.

unplugged everything except the power and it  still emits

a low rumble

 Sounds like your headed in the direction of taking the driver back out to investigate. With a problem like this, the good news is that it is a constant and won't go away until it is discovered. The worst for me are the intermittent type.
