Sk1Bum 11,435 Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Not that I know anything, but given that moving it changed things, I'd look at your inputs. 1
metalbent 103 Posted March 18, 2021 Author Posted March 18, 2021 yup, did that . also changed the way it can be hooked up and still the same problem 1
Daddyjt 9,619 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) 60hz ish? Sounds like a grounding issue inside the sub - perhaps a dangling wire from the removal and reinstall of the driver. Intermittent contact at first, now constant contact. Edited March 19, 2021 by Daddyjt 1
4krow 6,609 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 In many cases, I disconnect anything feeding the device to hear if it is the actual culprit. That is a starting point. 1
metalbent 103 Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 unplugged everything except the power and it still emits a low rumble 1
4krow 6,609 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Sounds like your headed in the direction of taking the driver back out to investigate. With a problem like this, the good news is that it is a constant and won't go away until it is discovered. The worst for me are the intermittent type. 1
