Rustech-fun 8 Posted Friday at 08:42 PM Posted Friday at 08:42 PM Just picked up my first Carver it is a 6250. I love restoring older vacuum tube radios and some "newer" 1970s and 80's electronics. Found it at one of my local thrift stores i get my old radios from and decided for $15 that I couldn't go wrong. I put it on my test bench and now shorts or smoked components. powers on. So I am here looking for the common failure points for this unit. I have found and downloaded the service manual already. can't wait until I can get it running as a daily driver. 8

Kurt 3,319 Posted Monday at 06:11 PM Posted Monday at 06:11 PM Welcome to the Carver Site! Carver 6250 Receiver is nice. In fact, I think most of the Carver Receivers are very underrated. I've had a couple myself and liked them.. one is now in my daughter's apartment as her main stereo. Unfortunately, I'm not a guru on them technically.... but, I'll bet someone here on the site can help. 2
3M_Audio 2,349 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Welcome! In addition to the service manual, do a search here on the 6250 and you'll find some good threads from those that have gone before.
