Guest RodH Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Do you recognize these, and are they worth$80???
stereo_dog 1,216 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Damn...... I know this one. I just saw these somewhere a couple of days ago, I think they have glass tops?? Thinking....
stereo_dog 1,216 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Got it... Tangent 10. http://www.klipsch.com/tangent-10 Probably worth $80.

kve777 6,888 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Rod, I wouldn't pay over $15.00 for them, warning: LOW END Klipsch. Kinda like Baby Advents. NOT worth anywhere near $80.00. I got a pair of Baby Advents, and a pair of Design Acoustics PS-6a's, I'll sell 'em for $40.00 per pair!
Guest RodH Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Lookin' to fill back channels for a guy I know.... Kinda looks like a piezo tweeter (Blech!!)
kve777 6,888 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Lookin' to fill back channels for a guy I know.... Kinda looks like a piezo tweeter (Blech!!) OK, if you got a buyer lined up, go for it!
weitrhino 1,443 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I believe the Tangent line of Klipsch speakers appeared at the point where the company was changing hands. IIRC they were blowing out a lot of driver inventory ahead of the company sale, trimming the fat so to speak. I picked up a pair at a local second hand shop last year for something like $40 to use in a bedroom.
Guest RodH Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 They were grill-less so I passed on them. Klipschorns - that's what we need. Yeah!
zumbini 6,147 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Klipschorns - that's what we need. Yeah! Still in a "go big or go home" mode eh?
galaxyoilcan 88 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Yea man! Sweet speakers and they seem to still be in pretty good shape. Hell, the drivers alone would be worth over $80 if they were parted out. Do they have the glass top plates? It really was a nice finishing touch to the design and prevented water ring stains since so many folks also used their speakers for end tables back then.
Guest RodH Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I HAVE from time to time put sheets of Lexan on top of speakers to prevent the dreaded "wife's planter rings"!!!
