    Welcome to the site Billy. As others have mentioned, great choice on the 4.0 for powering the Polks. That amp is a powerhouse and should drive them well. Anyone that gets large speakers shipped on a pallet and then leaves the boxes in his bedroom belongs here

    Welcome Wileysdad. From your opening story it sounds like you have finally found your home on this site. Great people here and loads of technical information. Just remember....it's never really a problem when you can't quite figure out how to hook up 4 Carver amps to one pair of speakers

    Thanks....LOVE it. Had a Denon AVR-4800 prior the the SC-35. Denon finally died on me and I read some great stuff on the Pioneer Elite line. Great HT receiver. Amp section does well, but don't be surprised if you see some Carver amps pushing the fronts in the future
