maddmaxxx 39 Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 -From 'Dynovox's reply;******************************************************************* Here's the heads-up: (1) Both Honeycomb Disk Version(SW-1220FL) and Paper Version Drivers(WP-1220) are currently out of stock. All 2014 productions have been depleted in November. (2) No more Honeycomb Disk Version (SW-1220FL) will be available in the future. We are in the test run of new 4 ohm paper cone update to replace phased-out SW-1220FL, the honeycomb disk driver. No release date yet. (3) 16 ohm WP-1220 paper version driver will be in production in late March for the 2015 run. 200 ~ 500 units will be produced as usual. To answer your question, Orevox is the parent company of the Dynavox. Dynavox Support Team 1
fill35U 1,847 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Wow, look at the Q's on that honeycomb woofer! I knew they were high-Q for Bob's open baffle to work, but a Qes of 6.49? Qts of 3.29? And a Vas of 12.5 ft³ ? Zoiks! I've considered aluminum honeycomb material for DIY passive radiators. Anybody have details on the material Orevox used?
