HappyTrails 498 Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Looking for the thread size and pitch for a pair of CRM2's I picked up and playing around with. Both the back and bottom are the same I think. I find no specs or drawings online I have a thread gage at the office, but working on a temp stand this weekend at home. Could be 1/4-20 or M6 These put out a lot of sound in a small package Thanks Paul 2
Will Meyer 2,374 Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 If I may ask... Your speaker in the background is a Magnepan MMG or LRS on a set of Magnarisers? I'm a fan of Magnepan and have a set of LRS's on order. I've been looking at rhe Magnarisers. 1
HappyTrails 498 Posted August 15, 2020 Author Posted August 15, 2020 LRS and yes on Magnarisers. The risers are great, sonic improvement and gets the speakers off the floor. Maggies are great, except I have to move them out and around to listen to them then back agains the wall. 1
Will Meyer 2,374 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 At least they're light and easy to move. I'm currently rebuilding a set of JBL L-100t's. They are unreasonably heavy to move around. So... you'd recommend the Magnarisers? Also, was there a noticable break-in period for the LRS's? Mine were supposed to arrive mid July. I'm certain that they're delayed due the Covid. I'm rather excited about upgrading from my SMGa's 1
HappyTrails 498 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 Yes the risers are money well spent IMO, I would buy again for another set. Robert from Magnarisers is a nice guys and takes a lot of pride in his product which shows I got my LRS pre covid, but they still took a while. As far as break in I cant not say I have heard much difference from when I have them until now, except for the risers changing things up a bit (for the better). I have some future experiments / designs I want to try with Maggies: Mounting them to the wall, with the ability to rotate in 3 axis to suit my odd room and space 1 1
HappyTrails 498 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 1/4-20 threads FYI. Temp mount testing them out in this location. 2
HappyTrails 498 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 Previous residents. X-overs rebuilt on the Klipsch based on NRD. 1
MRHP 868 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Cool speaker wire wall plug in, nice clean and functional. So now I have to ask which speaker sounds better?😁

Not sure I can ever answer the which sounds better, still in testing I will say that after I rebuilt the cross overs and dampened the Klipsch it was a huge improvement. Rob 5,977 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I did the same when I finished the basement. 1
HappyTrails 498 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 Hands down the best speakers I own (or have owned) for me are the Maggies. Currenty being test driven by an inexpensive Sanyo intergrated
