divet_ 0
Hello. I am new to Carver! I am new to. And fairly new to vinyl. I have a Carver AvR 100 receiver and a PS-FL77 turntable. I would like to connect to my Alexa to use as a speaker in for my kids room. Will this work? Has anyone tried this?
itchitch 3,989
I am not sure how this would be accomplished. Does the Alexa have an input?

Not clear to me what you are asking..., do you want Alexa to send it's output, to your receiver's input, so your receiver can amplify Alexa as a source, and send music/sound out through the speakers connected to your AVR 100 Receiver? Or are you trying to send the output of your receiver (from sources like the Tuner, Phono, CD, or ?), as input to Alexa for broadcast across your Alexa-connected sound environment? One may be possible, the other probably not. Nope, I've never done it - just thinking about it...
Brian_at_HHH 2,609
Welcome to the group! From what I've read, it "should" be possible to send music to Alexa using a Bluetooth transmitter. That will, however, require that the transmitter be close enough to reach the Alexa. You can likely use long RCA cables to do that, depending on just how far away the kids' room is from your system. In effect, you are doing Bluetooth streaming to it, much as you might from a smartphone, just from your main stereo system. Caveat: I've never tried this, so no guarantees that it will work - and check in case your Alexa unit doesn't have Bluetooth, though I suspect that's going to be pretty standard. Neat TT! I love the way the front plate drops as it opens, then raises back up when it's retracted.
