Torr 8 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 any ideas on some affordable new or used small bookshelf type speakers for a small space sonic holography setup... input is appreciated.
Torr 8 Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 that's funny, I have some b & w speakers and I agree, I have the team solid monitors from b & w nice highs... I'll check out 602's. It's going to be sony ep9es (old processor I've held onto), the c-9, and a chinese amp the yaqin vk2100 85 watts per channel.
Torr 8 Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 I priced the b & w speakers abit out of My range right now, nht zeros on the other hand are closer to what I can spend right now ($200 nht vs. $550 B&w)less expensive.
kve777 6,889 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I like Polk RT-35's for small speakers. Very nice sound. 1
Nahash5150 10,765 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Take a look at the B&W 601's. They're about half the price but still very nice. NHT's are a good sounding speaker, but they're a bit delicate. 1
SteveFord 1,125 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 PSBs sound good and don't cost all that much. You'll need a sub, of course. 1
zumbini 6,150 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 The Klipsch KG2.5 sounds great and they can handle a ton of power for their size. I'd also look at the smaller Infinity RS series speakers and the Boston Acoustics CS26. 1
Torr 8 Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 thanks for all the input, going to check out some prices... right now My tv is having trouble, so need to conserve money. hopefully just parts.
