danowood 2,167 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Looking to do something to protect the speakers on a system I'm putting together for my daughter a few months from now. Even thought she will be using a carver m 1.0t with a c-1 amp, the weak link will be a pair of Jensen LS6's. I think they are rated 80 or 100 watts. What do those savey on here think of these and will it diminish sound quality (not that the L6's are that great. They have them as low as 50W and as high as 300W I believe. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Speaker-Protectors-Automatic-Circuit-Breakers-100W-/300375965977?pt=US_Speaker_Parts_Components&hash=item45efcd8119#ht_3334wt_1141
weitrhino 1,445 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Take a look at what I used here. The beauty of my choice is they were a drop-in replacement for the OEM cylinder fuse holders. They come in a variety of sizes and they're dirt cheap. I'm sure your daughter will appreciate a breaker over fuse replacement.
