That's cool! Imagine how far down the road it will be before we are sending up 3D printers to build rigs and installations on other planets. Probably not in my lifetime. emcrook.gif

On other planets, maybe not, but I can see within the next 5ish years 3d printers being used on the space station for spare parts, and I give it 10 years before every household has a 3d printer and plans available for many household items.

Not so quick Gene, all four of my grandparents said they would never see a man on the moon....heck, one of my
great grandmothers lived to see it.
 
Can you imagine where you buy the software for "code" to print anything, and then you build it in your home?
Raw materials stockpiled......then voila, its in front of you.
 
The world has changed so much in 50 years.......wait another 30...jaw_dropper.gif
