  1. This works to a degree...it works as well as a wet cleaning with a brush. It will remove large particles but not small dust, cig smoke, etc. In my experience, record cleaning in order of how well it works: 1. Dry cleaning with brush----ok, but not really all that good 2. wet cleaning with brush----better,will remove large particles. 3. Vacuum machine cleaning with fluid---now we are talking...works very well and will remove small particles and cig smoke remnants. 4. Vacuum machine cleaning with enzyme cleaner----really gets the records clean and will destroy mold as well. 5. Steam cleaning with vacuum machine cleaning----huge improvement, gets records very quiet. Makes a big difference in dynamic range and fidelity. 6. Ultrasonic cleaning----best available cleaning process. Does everything above plus some...only downfall is the price of the machines. I've been cleaning records for 10 years and collected for 20 years. Let me know if anyone has questions. Thanks!
