  1. UPDATE: TFM-45 refurbished by Greg SOLD! Other 45 and both A500x's pending sale.
  2. Both 45's are currently pending sale. Still have both A500x's and the 12" True Sub Signature.
  3. Yep, all the gear is still available minus the subs.
  4. Everything except the true sub super jr & the true sub EQ
  5. I would, but I honestly don't know what fair prices would be. Any input from you guys that are up to date on current carver prices would really be appreciated.
  6. Hey all, I know it's been FOREVER since I've been on the site........I guess that's what having a 3 year old and 1 year old twins will do to you (ALL boys no less)!!!! Anyways, with all 3 kids being in daycare (daycare cost is DOUBLE my damn mortgage) and a slew of other life 'obstacles' that have come up, I'm drumming up all my possibilities to keep my family above water ?. So I'm resorting to selling off all of my Carver gear and Sunfire subs. I haven't been remotely in-touch with anything audio (let alone Carver) related in years so I'm not quite sure what fair prices would be for everything: * TFM-45 (refurb by Greg/Nahash5150) - has the blue LED mod and painted needles. * TFM-45 (refurb by James/Retriever) - has a slight turn off thump/power spike which just needs to be fixed with the resistors per repair TFM-45-6 in the repair manual. I have the resistors and they would be included. This one also has the blue LED mod and painted needles. * 2 - A500x's (1 has been gone thru by Gene C's audio repair guy in Phoenix AZ, the other is still stock) - both have a blue LED mod and painted needles. * Sunfire Solitaire 12" subwoofer (has the signal sensing issue where it will auto shutoff if a strong signal isn't present) * Sunfire TrueSub Super Jr. *SOLD* * Sunfire True Subwoofer EQ 10 Solitaire *SOLD* So like I said, I have no idea what fair prices for this gear would be, but I'm open to offers/advice for pricing. Just figured I'd give everyone here a crack at things before I try other channels for selling them. I can get more pics/info if anyone would like them. Cheers ? Casey
  7. Bump. Also adding this listing to the "Novice's Gear" thread as well.
  8. Update, sold items marked in the original post

  10. *Male Reasoning* This is a conversation between a man and a woman. Please note that she asked five or six questions, which he answered quite simply, but then she was speechless after answering only one question. Woman: “Do you drink beer?” Man: “Yes.” Woman: “How many beers a day?” Man: “Usually about three.” Woman: “How much do you pay per beer?” Man: “Five dollars, which includes a tip.” (This is where it gets scary!) Woman: “And how long have you been drinking?” Man: “About 20 years, I suppose.” Woman: “So a beer costs $5 and you have three beers a day, which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year that would be approximately $5,400, correct?” Man: “Correct.” Woman: “If in one year you spend $5,400, not accounting for inflation, the past twenty years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?” Man: “Correct.” Woman: “Do you know that if you didn’t drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and, after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could’ve by now bought an airplane?” Man: “Do you drink beer?” Woman: “No.” Man: “Where’s your airplane?”
  11. I would LOVE to take this off your hands Dennis.......$500 shipped for this thing is an absolute STEAL!!!!! Unfortunately, with my 18mo in daycare and a new baby (babies!?!?) on the way my resources are completely drained If by some MIRACLE this thing is still available around Christmas time I'll have to delegate some of my Christmas bonus to bring it into the fold
  12. Great offering Dennis! This amp will definitely make someone quite happy GLWS!!!
  13. Congrats Chiro!!! Hats off to Mark again for this UBER generous Karma
  14. I'm a structural engineer in SW Colorado. We do a little bit of everything......residential, commercial, institutional, bridges, remodels, repairs, etc. Some of the most interesting stuff we've done are the multi-million dollar custom homes for the big-wigs that like to have fancy vacation homes in the mountains. Jon Pomeroy is a good friend of the family and used to be my parents' neighbor.......we've done about 90% of his projects (located in the SW). You can see pictures of his projects HERE Pretty vanilla compared to what a lot of you other guys have on your resume
  15. Quite a run in the industry! Have you heard of/know of Arno Burnier?
  16. I know I haven't been around the site in quite a while.......having a toddler and planning for our 2nd round of IVF will do that I guess .......but happened by the site today and felt a great surge of hope for humanity after reading this Karma offering story. Mark, you truly are an AMAZING person who's heart and compassion are unparalleled. It makes me remember why I came to this site in the first place and how lucky I am to be a part of it; not to mention how incredibly generous and thoughtful the members that make up it's community are. I try to live by your moral compass as well Mark, and always try to do something positive for somebody else in the world - even if it's just opening the door for someone, or helping an elderly person with there shopping cart/groceries at the store. It really takes these stories to keep me going because of how much selfishness and negativity I am constantly bombarded with directly and in-directly in life. I'm OUT on this one......simply because I'm trying to downsize my system as it is Trying to minimize the amount of wires/amps/GIANT speakers out in the living room for my 15 month old to terrorize LOL!!! This Karma will really make someone's day, and my hats off to you Mark and the others "sweetening the pot" on this truly generous Karma
  17. Hey guys, I've been absent from the site for quite a while and here's the reason: My son Marshal Casey Wilson born April 14th, 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 1/2" long!!!! It's been a pretty intense and hectic first month......he broke his right collar bone on his way out and had low blood sugar for a few days so we were stuck in the hospital for the first 4 days of his life. We only had him home for a few days before my wife took him out to California on her dad's RV for her best friends wedding. When she was out there she got double mastitis and was miserable for the week she was gone. She was back home for maybe 2 or 3 days and Marshal got a fever so we had to take him back to the hospital so they could poke/prod/test the bejesus out of him (blood/urine/stool tests, spinal tap, chest x-ray, etc) to figure out what was wrong with him. Turns out he managed to get a urinary tract infection and he had to be in the hospital for a week on IV antibiotics.......he went thru FOUR different IV's during his stay, 1 in his hand, 1 in his arm, and 1 on each side of his head. After all that we're FINALLY back home and getting back into the swing of things. I couldn't be more thankful that my boy and my wife are healthy again !!!! Just thought I'd share with all of you great people ! Cheers & keep on rockin !!!
  18. Congrats again Chris!!! You guys definitely made one CUTE little girl
  19. Congratulations Chris!!! Our 1 cycle was crazy enough, I can't imagine having to go through it FIVE times......my hats off to you and your wife for being such troopers and sticking with it !!! That is so glad to hear that you guys were able to have a successful cycle after all of those tries though! Also glad to hear that your baby girl is healthy and didn't have any complications with the delivery......you must have been the happiest man alive 3 weeks ago ! And now you're probably the most exhausted man alive after having a new born for 3 weeks !!! Congrats again Chris! And I just want to thank everybody for all of your support and well-wishing......this site truly is an amazing place and is always comforting when I browse around here and see all of the help, support, insight, and general good heartedness of the members !!!! Cheers
