  1. Pink Floyd...welcome to the machine. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjzrLmExs3pAhXMB80KHVFrABEQ3ywwAHoECBgQBg&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dlt-udg9zQSE&usg=AOvVaw1CZz194aW9Xs3Oqf-Wcmfx
  2. Very cool site! I already have the Carver bug. I bought my silver editions off the showroom floor in 1991 and took them home the same day. They lasted 31 years before failing and I drive them hard with clean power!
  3. Welcome! You will love that A-760X! I have 2 of them set in mono mode and they make my Silver Editions sing beautifully until the ribbons blew last week. Once you refresh the amp, it should provide years of service life. Those pots protruding from the rear for gain control break easy so hopefully they packaged it properly.
  4. Rob and AndrewJohn, thanks for the greetings and info on who to contact for repairs...most appreciated. I'll try and post a pic of my setup...I would love to have those Silver 9T's!
  5. I just joined this site and love the information that everyone shares. My system features a vintage Luxman R117 receiver, ADC SS315-X equalizer, Carver Holography C9, 2 Carver Silver Editions being driven by 2 Carver A-760X amps in mono mode. I also have 2 sets of Bose 301's series IV on front and rear wall. Unfortunately, both of my 48" ribbons shorted open on the Carvers due to old age and magnets falling apart. I'am thinking of sending them both in for repairs but it's very costly...$800.00 for both with shipping. I may just purchase another used set of Silvers or Platinums if they are in great condition and use mine for spare parts. Also, does anyone know where I can get information on how to bi amp these Carver speakers? Where to buy the bi amp kit with instructions, etc. Thanks for any replies.... Tom
