  1. Hello and welcome to ya. You certainly have the passion, and have fun~
  2. Re-release of 2001, Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions, Bavarian Fruitbread...wavy, mellow soundscape
  3. spun this for a friend last night, we laughed. If you have come across this one and heard it then you know why it is rated X. It has a very cool background story, and a "pre-PMRC" rating, LOL
  4. Incredible performance, unreal recording
  5. This was in the free crate I got from a friend who cleans out homes, estates, etc. I listened to this last night and noticed it on HP's Superlist (TAS). The vinyl sounds amazing especially for 42 yr old. And then time for some clean up music- great early thrash metal...
  6. Great band Dennis. Thanks for the reminder. Canada's other Rock Trio! I quoted Power of the music in my HS yearbook, lol. I got a DVD copy of their USfestival concert. Great band, and they sound better loud.
  7. Sweet, bluelight special. Let us know how they sound and the NAD pieces are a nice throw in.
  8. Not a great pic, but this was in a case of records I received and I listened to it last night for the first time. Bach, The Magnificat in D major w/Bernstein. Great piece of music, and I found a mint program from 1962 (same yr as album), Lincoln ctr inside. That night Brensteined performed another piece. I wouldn't have found that in an mp3
  9. Welcome aboard! I too have recently rediscovered my vinyl after a 16 + yr hiatus. I forgot how much the listening experience is about more than what I hear. I forgot how much I enjoy the feel, sight and even smell of the jacket cover. Anyone else stick their nose in the jacket and breathe in the dust and mold, and actually love it? I hope I never get caught doing that, lol. The folks on here are real kind, generous, and funny as hell too. Cheers -
  10. Poor little baby, and another great story from the road. I look forward to the video, and maybe you might get a new amp out of the deal by selling the vid to a media outlet.
  11. LOL, having fun going through my collection for first time in,..well since 99' atleast. Forgot I had this one, never was really into punk music. Threw it on after watching the news, and realizing November is right around the corner. I got to tell ya the look I got from my wife reminded me how effective the music is. She was not impressed, now if my Ozzy t-shirt from 84' only fit me.
  12. Welcome CKJ! But I must inform you that I proudly represent the "out of their element" group on this here forum. Judging by your post I assure you, I will learn plenty from you. Glad to have ya aboard, now post up some photos of that gear, please.
  13. HP's superlist are very collectable and with each around $150, I did find other copies (same music diff recordings) this weekend and listened to this one for the first time, wow! Do yourself a favor a get a copy on vinyl and enjoy. What a trip....
  14. Great question and based on the chapter and page of life, I can change it often, Simon and Garfunkel "Only Living Boy in New York", John Lennon "Imagine", Pink Floyd "Fearless", all of DSOTM, Nick Drake, N. Young, Dylan, but today: Cat Stevens/ Father and Son Father It's not time to make a change, Just relax, take it easy. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to know. Find a girl, settle down, If you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy, To be calm when you've found something going on. But take your time, think a lot, Why, think of everything you've got. For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not. Son How can I try to explain, when I do he turns away again. It's always been the same, same old story. From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go. Father It's not time to make a change, Just sit down, take it slowly. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to go through. Find a girl, settle down, If you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. Son, away away away, I know I have to All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside, It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it. If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them you know not me. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go. Father, stay stay stay, why must you go and Make this decision alone?
  15. This music makes for great dinner parties...
  16. I gave this first two sides a spin last night, and the production really surprised me. I bought it years ago but never gave it a listen.
