  1. My two cents.. Pound for Pound, dollar for dollar, watt for watt You can't go wrong with Klipsch. But not any Klipsch. Going from your CV's I would steer you in the direction of the Chorus I's or II's. I do like the Chorus II's with the bigger Tractix horn and rear passive radiator. Chorus are truly a wolf in sheep clothing......a Pro-Speaker in a tuxedo. Extremely efficient but can handle tremendous power..... Your bridged M200t's @ 350 watts will get those Chorus thumping for sure... but I'd venture to say you'll run out headroom before you'll overpower those Chorus with those M200t's. Again more than enough amp to get chest pounding results.....just giving you an idea of the power they can handle... good luck with your search☺️ MCP 🙂
  2. Unless you got a wife like mine😁
  3. Oh YEA..... Awesome for sure... HUGE Klipsch fan here.... K-horns and a Bell for center duty and I take it there Heresys in the rear... Awesome set up for sure... I have yet too own K-Horns or Bells..... on my list again really nice.... MCP :-)
  4. IMHO........ I would not use bare wire in the speakers or connected to any amp. All my speaker cables have connectors on them or there tinned with solder so there is no loose looking wires. Just saying MCP :-)
  5. Hey nettlecreek welcome to the forum. Good luck with your amp repair. Looking forward to your pics. I love the Carver amps with Klipsch speakers. I'm a huge Klipsch fan. Again good luck and welcome to the forum... MCP :-)
  6. Gotta get ya some Klipsch Randy I did blow a woofer in one of my Lascala's some years back.... Way too much power to em... MCP :-)
  7. Just want to welcome to the forum el_wato..... I'm sure some of the tech guys can help you out..... enjoy your gear... MCP :-)
  8. Welcome to the site, Thanks for the pics.......You have a great collection of gear for sure. I too have love for the Polk SDA's. I stumbled on a pair of 2.3 for $350 a few years back. My wife didn't want them, but once we got out to the guys house that was selling them she quickly changed her mind..... Once she saw and herd them she whispered in my ear "OMG he only wants $350 for them" Love the 9t's..... would love to have a pair of them..... one day..... one day... Enjoy your gear...... enjoy your music...... enjoy the Carver Site MCP :-)
  9. Thanks PDR..... MCP :-)
  10. Got some new exciting stuff coming out from Hope Arkansas (home of Klipsch) Klipsch has brought back one it's best speakers ever made inho.... The Forte' ...... Forte'III I have been a Klipsch collector for over 25 years now and have owned quite a few.... Most of my Klipsch have been from the heritage line: Klipschorn, LaScala, Cornwall, Heresy and the so called extended heritage line: Chorus I's & II's Forte' I's & II's and the Quartet. There was some rumors going around last year that a ChorusIII was in the works, but I don't think this is going to happen. The Chorus was the replacement for the Cornwall. Klipsch brought the Cornwall III back a few years ago. There seems to be a great love for the Cornwall. I owned some Cornwall II's some years ago. I thought they were a good sounding speaker but the ChorusI's or II's kill the Cornwall in the bass dept. Since I owned ChorusI's & II's I decided to off the Cornwalls. My old shop helper owns them so I can still visit with them and if he ever decides to sell them he MUST give me 1st shot.... I think the new Forte' is going to be a hit. The Forte's can put out some serious sound. I own Forte'I's and use them for my little HT set-up. I would love to up-grade to some Forte'II's and maybe in 10/15 years I'll buy some used Forte'III's lol lol.... If you haven't seen it... here it is..... Forte'III Click on the link..... couldn't post it... sorry Klipsch also has some really cool stuff out this year at the 2017 CES show... MCP :-) EDIT.... looks like the link isn't working..... can someone help me out

  14. Little update on the JBL's... My audio bud Ryan came over tonight and we got the dbx x-over hooked up, and my man dialed the JBL's in... It's truly on another level..... My man bought over his microphone a lap top and his wireless router so he could walk around my living room and make adjustments to the x-over.... We also got the Crown Macro-tech 2400 hooked up for the bass bins.... Awesome is a understatement..... MCP :-)
  15. Nice Vin.....Very nice..... MCP :-)
  16. I think it's so so cool that this "internet forum" thing can bring people together that share the same interests... ie; this audio addiction that we all seem to have. I've never really considered my self a "forum" kinda guy ..... Over the years I've jumped on a few forums hear and there to check them out, but never joined any. This all changed about three years ago. I joined the Klipsch forum. I've been collecting Klipsch speakers for the last 25 years.... So yea I got a few around the house... I started to make some friends on this Klipsch forum thing... it was fun.... even my wife joined the forum... yes my wife loves this hobby, she even goes with me on these speaker buying adventures.... When we got the JBL's a few weeks ago she's the one that made the deal for the Crown Macro-tech 2400...... I'm like you go girl.... Well about a year ago I was thinking, I own a bunch of Carver amps I need to check out thecarversite..... So I did..... I joined and of course I was warmly welcomed...... Over the next few months BarryG and I were trading some pm's. Barry lives in Md as I. Barry said he's never heard any Klipsch and would love to check some out... I thought this was so cool.... Well it took some time to get together..... and we finally got together yesterday. Not only did BarryG come over but we were joined by Maddmaster ... BarryG was so kind to bring over a M500t. I've never owned or listened to a 500t. I've always wanted to pair one of those amps with my Klipsch LaScala's.... I liked the sound this amp has with the LaScala's..... We were driving them with a good 30 watts going to them for some time and later we got those power needles into that 100 watt range... oh yea the room was filled with music. I had one Klipsch sub (old SW-12) powered up and later powered up another sub (old SW-15).. After some time listening to the LaScala's I switched up to the Klipsch Chorus I's and a Carver TFM-55.... and powered up another Klipsch sub... Oh yea the room was thumping..... I was digging it.... I checked with our guess's to make sure it wasn't too loud for them.... I had the TFM-55 juming up well into that 375 watt range....Both BarryG and Maddmaster were liking the horns...... Maddmaster had a db meter app on his phone. I think we were somewhere around 90 db's with the Chorus I's about 20' from the speakers. Hopefully he'll report with the db we reached.... After a good ear pounding from the Chorus I's we took a little break and went onto the deck. On the deck I had my EVi's set-up with a little Crown 1010 amp. My wife and I spend as much time as we can out on the deck. The EV's really have great sound out there. Maddmaster was looking for another set of speakers on the deck. The way they reflect off the back of the house you would swear there's more that two speakers out there... Back into the house...... it was time to power up the JBL's...... I was unable to have the Crown Macro tech hooked up for the bass bins. So power was supplied too the bass bins by a TFM-42 and the horns were powered by a PM 1.5. In my excitement to hook up the JBL's I forgot to hook up the left horn.... Maddmaster quickly picked up on this..... I don't know what the maxx db's were that we reached with the JBL's but I did see some readings in the mid 90 db's.... Since the JBL's are kinda on there own system I had no subs powered up with them. But those bass bins have incredible output. There was one track were the TFM's led's hung at 375 watts for most of the track... I think we were just on" this side" of exhausting the headroom of the amp..... The PM.1.5 didn't even break a sweet... we might have pushed 15 watts into those horns at one point..... What a day it was... man it was fun.... real fun for both me and my wife.... we got jam all day and meet some new friends... During the day of conversation and jamming out I forgot to take some pics of us all... I think BarryG and Maddmaster got some.... hopefully there post some up... Thanks for coming over guys..... this is what it's all about.... enjoying our gear with friends.... MCP :-)
  17. Hey Vin, Welcome to the forum... Nice system..... so cool it was your dad's system.... enjoy your system and enjoy the forum.. Thanks for sharing... MCP :-)
  18. I forgot one The klipschorn..... Well I've never owned them or even heard them.... but they have the same drivers as the LaScala's and Bells... Never owned a Klipsch Bell either....... MCP :-)
  19. Hey Travis, So hear is my 2 cents at ya..... Yea I'm also going to steer you towards the Klipsch "Heritage" line speakers.... I've been a huge Klipsch fan for 25+ years. I've owned quite a few of there speakers. I had some Mach One's in the house for awhile but never really put alot of power in them. Was selling them for someone and just made sure they worked. If you looking to stay about the same size as your Mach One's Look at the Klipsch Heresy..... I don't think the heresy will be a upgrade, the Heresy lacks bass.... and that Mach One has a 15" woofer the Heresy 12" woofer... Next, Klipsch Forte'.... look for the Forte' II..... The Forte' has about the same foot print as the Heresy but taller, it will kill the Heresy in over all sound out put...... The forte' II will put out bass you can feel.... Next, one of my favorite.... Klipsch Chorus I's or II's..... both will shake the walls of a house given enough power.... These things will put out chest pounding bass, esp the II's.... the I's are no slouch... both are rated @ 101db's with 1-watt 8-ohms and both are rated at 1000 watts peak. These are like pro-audio speakers with a living room look. One guy on the Klipsch site refers to the Chorus as "a wolf in sheeps clothing" Just a few watts will get them bumping....But when the power needles on my TFM-55 start jumping past that 300+ watt range it's like a wall of music hitting ya.... You can feel the bass in you chest... I ran two M400 t's bridged for awhile on my Chorus I's.... one weekend I was pounding the Chorus hard for a few hours and one one of the cubes shut down.... man it was roasting..... so was the other one.... The TFM-55 will run cool all day long.... I just think it was too much for those little cubes... Next, another one of my favorite. and was my 1st Klipsch I bought some 25+ years ago and still heave them.... The Klipsch LaScalla.... It will put out huge sound... a really great sounding speaker... great highs, good bass but not chest thumping like the Chorus.... Some of the Klipsch guys mod the bass bins. I have not... Your M400t will sound great with the LaScalla I tell ya.... 10 watts in them and they will fill a room with music. 104dbs 1-watt @ 8-ohms Next, Klipsch Cornwalls IMHO there just OK.. I had a pair for a few years... had good sound... but I liked my Chorus better.... I wish Klipsch would have brought back a ChorusIII instead of the Cornwall III... Next, most of any of the Klipsch Pro-line of speaker..." KP"-201- ""301- ""362- ""320 just to name.... The Klipsch Pro-line of speaker Rocks... Jump on the Klipsch forum and post.... Post your location and see if there are any members that will let ya check out there speakers. I've seen it happen before. Hey if your in Md come on over.... and I'll sell my Chorus II's Good luck in your hunt... MCP :-)
  20. Thanks Jim, My wife is one of a kind.... She is the one that found our Klipsch LaScala's some 25 years ago... She loves this stuff... No That's not a kitten in the pic.... It's statue of a rhineouserours..... Our two cats do go running down stairs when I "click" the amps on.... they know what coming lol lol MCP :-)
