IIRC Bob indeed has/had a brother that lived in California. Bob mentioned going to see him due to an illness. Recalling the event(it's been 10 years)Bob met up with Tim deParavicini on that trip and they came up with another tube circuit design and the bias we used in the 2011 amplifier.
