Billie Hart, Multidirectional was released on November 25, 2025.

Surprisingly, I got a response from Andi Howard.

 

"Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons have retired so no touring unfortunately .   You can still purchase Rippingtons  catalogue on Amazon"

 

I told Andi that I was looking for SACD, but I guess (s)he thought I was asking about CDs.

The Kanneh-Masons, River of Music was released on September 12, 2025.

 

"t’s been five years since the entire Kanneh-Mason family recorded together – Carnival of the Animals (12/20). This new album, ‘River of Music’, with its various opportunities for solo display as well as collaboration, shows how much these musicians have grown in the interim. There are three selections where all seven siblings have a part: a touching, atmospheric arrangement of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s version of ‘Deep River’; a quietly uplifting version of the Welsh hymn Ar Lan y Môr; and Hiraeth, an original work of tender nobility by Isata, the eldest Kanneh-Mason."

Paolo Fresu, Kind of Miles was released on April 11, 2025.

 

"kind of MILES is an entirely different take on the lessons of Davis. This is a studio-recorded companion album to a multi-media theatrical concert Fresu toured with in 2024. It wove together images, narration, and sounds from the life of Davis and Fresu himself, accompanied by two live bands on each side of the stage: one acoustic, and one electric. Fresu stayed in the middle, moving between the two.

 

The album takes an impressionistic view of Davis’ music. Just as an abstract painting may contain recognizable images that float in and out, kind of MILES is mostly original compositions from band members creating impressions of Davis’ style with occasional standards from Davis’ repertoire. Fresu remains himself throughout, contributing new music rather than reproducing, and by doing so he best honors Davis’ influence."

James Suggs, For All We Know was released on November 7, 2025.

What he has not done—surely unwittingly—is develop a blueprint whose parts are better than average, and in some cases, it must be conceded, less than that."
